Stress Relief by Harvey

Just had a massage with Harvey James and wow — hands down one of the best massages I’ve ever had. Harvey has this amazing ability to find all the hidden tension spots and work them out without it feeling rushed or mechanical. It felt super personalized, like he actually listened to what my body needed.

I walked out feeling lighter, looser, and way more relaxed than I expected. Honestly, if you’re looking for someone who knows their craft and creates a chill, welcoming vibe, Harvey is your person. Highly recommend and totally worth the his fee!!

I have seen James once a month for the past year to receive his bodywork. When I first began working with him, I could hardly get out of bed without back pain. He worked on massaging and releasing my psoas muscle and now I have no pain at all. He is SO good at what he does.

James was amazing! I was new, so James took the time to check in with me often to make sure the pressure was all right, and to see if anything was extra sensitive. He gave me a good mixture of Swedish and deep tissue massage, and changed up the variety quite a bit. Just when I thought he was done working on a section of my body, he’d go back with a different technique that felt even better than the prior one. I think my favorite part was the work he did on my hands, wrists, and forearms. I had no idea I kept stress and tension in those places, but he went in there with stretches and slow strokes, and after it felt incredibly loose and a lot less tense. His work on my upper body was also a highlight because it included some really deep work on my pecs, which as he promised, had a positive response in the tenseness in my shoulders. Beyond the physicality of the massage, the experience was made all the better with the cool view of Echo Park Lake right from the massage table, and the fact that he was a good conversationalist. Granted, I’m pretty sure he would have let me just drift off in complete silence, but I like to chat, so he happily obliged and we had a good conversation. I’m definitely going to be back...and soon!
