Therapeutic Massage by James

I had one of the best massage experiences of my life this week with James. The vibe from his listing was exactly what I was looking for, especially when he mentioned therapeutic massage as well as Thai bodywork. Bonus points for being the closest masseur to me on the app.

Setting up an appointment was easy, and we were able to meet early in the morning yesterday, which was my preference. He has a great studio space which is welcoming, clean, laid back, and private.

I opted for table work (rather than Thai floor mat work) as I really needed to relax, but James intuitively incorporated some delicious stretches into the session. We had easy and interesting conversations as the session progressed, peppered with moments of beautiful silence as well.

Again, I’ve had many massages in my life, and James’s ability to use his large palms, as well as knees, elbows, and forearms, was dreamy. It was an awesomely thorough session with perfect attention to tense areas that he intuitively discovered.

My only regret was that I was leaving town later yesterday and couldn’t book back in to try his Thai massage session on the floor mat.

James not only gave an amazing massage, but he is well versed in physiology, holistic approach and overall wellness. His studio was tranquil, well appointed and convenient. He is personable, smart and can easily understand what his client's needs are. He is so good that I am going back again later this week :) - Paul F.

James has such a loving energy. The moment he stepped foot into my home I felt a deep calmness and a sense of being at ease. His presence and touch took me to a different place. I really enjoyed how he incorporated stretches and even though the pressure was deep at times it was never painful. He paid extra attention to the areas where I had the most tension. I highly recommend working with James and look forward to getting future massages from him.

One of the best massages I've ever had. James was able to offer significant relief from lower back pain and sciatica due to an injury. His grounding and calm presence really helped me to relax and let go. Will definitely be a repeat client.

James was both extremely welcoming and professional. The environment was the perfect temperature and it was very calming and comfortable. James checked in occasionally about the pressure and how I was feeling. I’ve had many massages at top tier spas and hotels and his topped my list! I will 100% return for what was the best money I’ve spent in 2023. I highly recommend!

Wow! It's not that often that you find a massage therapist that truly knows what they are doing. James has the ability to go very deep with absolute control. His touch is intuitive and intentional. You will not be disappointed booking with him!
